Lodgco Hospitality has announced the upcoming conversion of two of its Florida properties—Ameniti Bay and Magnolia Pointe—into Caretta Bay Sarasota and Coral Pointe Sarasota, which will join the Ascend Collection by Choice Hotels. The conversion is scheduled to be completed on July 1.
The newly rebranded hotels draw inspiration directly from Florida’s natural beauty and coastal ecosystem. Caretta Bay takes its name from Caretta caretta, the scientific, Latin name for the loggerhead sea turtle. Coral Pointe reflects the region’s marine environments and coastal identity.
“We are incredibly excited about this conversion and what it means for the future of these hotels,” said Scott Stuart, president, Lodgco Hospitality. “Joining the Ascend Collection allows us to combine the individuality and local character of these properties with the power of Choice Hotels’ global distribution and loyalty platform. We are confident this move will drive increased visibility, guest satisfaction and long-term performance. The storytelling behind Caretta Bay and Coral Pointe also allows us to connect with our guests and our community.”
Both hotels will remain under the leadership of GM Ashleigh Gonzalez, who oversees operations at both properties.
“This is a very positive step forward for our hotels, our teams and our guests,” said Gonzalez. “We are proud of what we’ve built at Ameniti Bay and Magnolia Pointe, and we’re excited to carry that momentum into Caretta Bay Sarasota and Coral Pointe Sarasota. The connection to the local environment—and our support of Mote Marine—adds an extra layer of purpose to what we do every day.”
Guests can expect a seamless transition, with continued enhancements to the overall experience.
