FCM Hotels has appointed Michael Heeden as president. A 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, he spent the past 16 years as president of Raleigh, NC-based Winston Hospitality Inc.
Heeden specializes in hotel operations, development and asset management and has experience with a variety of properties nationwide, including urban, mixed-use, lifestyle-branded hotels, as well as casino hotels and resorts, according to the company.
“FCM Hotels has a great reputation for developing and operating award-winning hotels and a proven track record for financial success,” Heeden said. “[COO] Paul Niswonger and I have known each other for 30 years and have worked together for 15 of those. We’ve stayed in contact and are eager for this chance to work together again. FCM has several exciting projects currently underway, and I look forward to the incredible development opportunities in the future.”

Established in 1989, FCM Hotels is located in Rocky Mount, NC, and operates hotels and resorts throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.
