Whitestone Companies acquires MN Homewood Suites

Whitestone Companies, a capital investment firm based in Columbus, OH, has acquired the Homewood Suites by Hilton Minneapolis-Mall of America.

This 144-room extended-stay hotel, located across from the Mall of America and minutes from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, marks Whitestone’s first investment in Minnesota and its fourth Homewood Suites purchase in the past 18 months.

“We are excited to welcome the Homewood Suites by Hilton Minneapolis-Mall of America to our portfolio,” said Jay Batra, CEO, Whitestone Companies. “The property’s strategic location, paired with the well-known quality of the Hilton brand, positions it as an attractive offering for both business and leisure travelers while enhancing the value proposition for our investors.”

The property will undergo a comprehensive renovation with planned upgrades including modernized guest suites, refreshed public spaces and enhancements to amenities such as the indoor pool, fitness center, activity area and outdoor grilling stations.

“We are thrilled to be entering the Minnesota market with such a distinct asset.” said Chuck Groger, chief revenue officer, Whitestone Companies. “We love the flexibility of this brand as it caters to a wide variety of guests. What sets it apart is the apartment-style living with full kitchens, complimentary breakfast, and evening receptions most hotels in the area are not able to provide.”

Whitestone Companies has selected Regal Hospitality to manage the daily operations of the property.
