SpringHill Suites by Marriott Opens Doors in Kansas City
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Kansas City, MO, has opened. The 103-suite hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by KMG Hotels and managed by Park Hospitality LLC.

The SpringHill Suites Kansas City Northeast is located directly across the highway from Worlds and Oceans of Fun and 15 miles from Kansas City International Airport. The hotel offers guests access to the Sprint Center, the Kansas City Power & Light District, Kansas City Country Club Plaza, Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium.

Courtyard by Marriott Hotel to Open in Michigan
Courtyard by Marriott Petoskey at Victories Square has opened its doors in Petoskey, MI. Featuring an innovative lobby space as well as Courtyard’s latest contemporary room design, the new hotel provides flexibility and choices that allow guests to optimize and elevate their travel experience. Located at 1866 Bear Place, the 139-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by GNI Phase1 LLC and managed by American Hospitality Management Inc.

The hotel is close to downtown Petoskey, the Odawa Casino, Petoskey State Park, the Great Lakes Center for the Arts, The Crooked Tree Arts Center and the Petoskey Wine Trail. The hotel is also nearby to numerous shops, restaurants, entertainment options, as well as golf courses.

The five-story hotel features an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa, a large fitness center, a Kid Zone and Arcade, guest laundry and complimentary parking. Other hotel amenities include a boardroom and 1,620 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 90 people, complete with state-of-the-art A/V equipment, an air wall and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Homewood Suites by Hilton/Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown South Loop Opens
The 342-room dual-branded Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown and Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown South Loop officially celebrated its grand opening this month with a traditional ribbon-cutting in the city’s dynamic South Loop neighborhood. On hand participating in the festivities were Joe Francisco, director of brand management, Homewood Suites by Hilton; Rick Colling, global head, Homewood Suites by Hilton; John Morley, principal in charge at Lendlease Construction; Cassie Yen, VP of marketing, SB Yen Management; Su-Mei Yen, SB Yen Management; Bert Yen, SB Yen Management; Dan McManus, director of strategic services, Office of Senator Tammy Duckworth; Prentice Butler, director of constituent services, Alderman Burn’s office, City of Chicago; and Denise Carpenter, VP & managing director, development, Northwest region, Hilton.

Indiana’s First My Place Hotel Opens
My Place Hotels opened the brand’s newest location in Plainfield, marking Indiana’s first My Place Hotel. Located off of I-70 (Exit 66) at 5065 Gateway Dr., the opening of the three-story, 64-unit hotel also marks the brand’s 24th state debut.

My Place Hotel – Plainfield, IN is located close to Indianapolis International Airport, Hummel Park, and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Plainfield’s newest hotel was developed by Plainfield Hotel Group and is managed by Legacy Management.

Prominence Hospitality Group Opens Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Des Plaines, IL
Prominence Hospitality Group has opened Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago O’Hare Airport hotel in Des Plaines, IL, a suburb of Chicago. The smoke-free property features 130 rooms, including 44 King suites. It is located one-half mile from Allstate Arena, less than two miles from O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Downtown Rosemont, which features many fine restaurant and eating options, entertainment and shopping. The local area also offers other nearby attractions such as Rivers Casino, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and Fashion Outlets of Chicago, as well as businesses like DHL, OLC, Wintrust, FedEx, Signify, and Abbott Molecular.
