The Monarch, a 34-key boutique hotel housed in a four-story, mid-19th-century Italianate building on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, is set to open this month. The property will be operated by Sam Nazarian’s sbe Entertainment Group as part of its HQ Hotels & Residences Collection. The Monarch will blend Art Deco design with contemporary luxury, according to the company.
The property will bring a fresh, design-driven perspective to one of New Orleans’ most competitive hospitality corridors. It is being developed by Bates Development, constructed by The McDonnel Group and designed by Terrell Fabacher Architects. Interiors, curated from the ground up by Lisambiance Interior Design, will feature a mix of artwork and architectural details
Accommodations will have 13-ft. ceilings, king-sized beds and large bathrooms with tile showers. Select rooms will provide floor-to-ceiling windows, while others will offer balconies for immersion on St. Charles Avenue.
