SB Architects has appointed Krystal Solorzano as director of marketing and business development. Solorzano joins the architecture firm and its team in the San Francisco office. A design industry veteran with more than 14 years of experience, Solorzano is positioned to take the helm of SB Architects’ marketing efforts as it expands and elevates its offerings and project portfolio.

In her new role, Solorzano will lead all marketing and business development for the firm. As a seasoned professional across the architecture and planning sectors, Solorzano is skilled in business development, social media, marketing, analytics, design management, presentation development, market research, storytelling and various design software.
Her career began at WATG, a design and architecture firm with 10 offices globally, where she rose through the ranks from interior designer to senior associate taking on the day-to-day marketing operations for WATG Asia. Over her 12-year tenure with the firm, she was immersed in the design and hospitality arena from the start and worked extensively in both the California and Singapore offices. Working for a multidisciplinary firm with a global reach she gained knowledge of the inner workings of projects from proposal to completion, as well as the operations of a large international design practice.
Solorzano has a passion for luxury hospitality and knowledge of the hospitality market, keeping abreast of the latest trends and developments in hotel brands, branded residential, multi-family, mixed-use and other markets that have evolved to align with the principals of hospitality destinations
