Peachtree Group, a diversified commercial real estate investment firm, has appointed Sameer Nair as SVP, equity asset management. In this role, he will oversee and implement asset oversight to Peachtree’s real estate portfolio and preferred equity investments.
“Over the past decade, Sameer has been instrumental in the growth of some of the most respected companies in the hospitality industry,” said Brian Waldman, CIO, Peachtree Group. “He has led multiple acquisition, development and investment efforts throughout the country, which gives him a deeper perspective of the industry and market.”
With more than a decade of hospitality experience, Nair most recently was SVP, acquisitions and development for Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), where he sourced equity, debt and third-party management opportunities. Prior positions included Nair serving as VP, investments and capital markets for Kolter Hospitality, where he oversaw more than $600 million in transaction volume across hotel investment and debt restructuring. He also held a similar position at Banyan Investment Group as VP, hotel investments, closing more than $125 million in transaction volume, among others.
