Remington Hospitality president Chris Green to retire

Chris Green, president, Remington Hospitality, is retiring from the company effective April 5. He was named president of the company in December 2022.

Green played an instrumental role in the merger of Chesapeake Hospitality and Remington Hospitality, acting as the primary catalyst in building new relationships with third-party owners, the company reports. Before the merger in April of 2022, he served Chesapeake for 22 years in various roles, most recently as the company’s CEO.

“My gratitude extends to the countless individuals I’ve had the privilege to work alongside over the years,” he said. “Each one has been a source of inspiration, and I am forever thankful for the friendships forged and the unwavering support received on this remarkable journey. As I transition from the world of hospitality, I eagerly anticipate dedicating more time than ever to my family. I look forward to actively engaging in community, philanthropic and ministry initiatives within my local area.”

On April 5, Green will transition to an advisory role, supporting Remington in areas including managing owner relationships and facilitating new business development. He will also continue to serve on the owners advisor board, providing insights and strategic guidance to ensure Remington’s sustained growth and success. In this new capacity, he will remain actively engaged in shaping the company’s long-term vision and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, the company reports.

“Chris is a shining example of our mantra, ‘Where Passionate People Thrive,’” said Sloan Dean, CEO, Remington. “I know I speak for our entire team in extending our sincerest gratitude for all that he’s contributed to our hotels, associates and company over the past 24 years. We wish you the very best in your retirement. We’re better as an organization because of you.”
