RateGain Appoints Harmeet Singh as CEO

RateGain, a SaaS company for travel and hospitality, has appointed Harmeet Singh as CEO with a focus on driving growth and expansion for RateGain and its portfolio companies through inorganic and organic initiatives.

Prior to RateGain, Singh was an executive partner at MDP Telecom, Media and Technology group, identifying and evaluating potential investments in the cloud and IT services industry. Formerly, Singh was president, cloud services at j2 Global, Inc. and scaled the SaaS portfolio to $600 million in revenues, $300 million in EBITDA and 1,100-plus employees in less than six years pursuing both an organic and inorganic strategy. Over the course of his career, Singh has participated in more than 100 M&A transactions focused on the technology, media and telecom sector.

Following Singh’s appointment, Bhanu Chopra, founder & CEO of RateGain, is being elevated to chairman and will focus on executing his vision of making RateGain the most valuable travel and hospitality technology company in the world, according to the company. RateGain’s leadership team will now work directly with Singh to deliver on RateGain’s growth targets.

Ideas Revenue Solutions Surpasses 4,000 Hotels in 60 EMEA Countries

Ideas Revenue Solutions, a provider of revenue management software and services, has surpassed expectations for growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and now serves more than 4,000 hotels in 60 countries in the region. Ideas attributes the growth to hoteliers’ embrace of its automated, revenue science solutions, which provide profit-optimizing decision empowerment to more than 11,000 hotels in 129 countries worldwide.

For more than three decades, Ideas has driven the future of revenue management. The company celebrated its 30th anniversary in June, and in addition to its worldwide growth, continues to expand the scope of its services within lodging and other industries.

On-Demand Staffing App Now Available in Nine U.S. Markets

Instawork, an on-demand staffing app for gig workers and hospitality businesses, has expanded on the East Coast. Instawork’s vision is to create economic opportunity for local workers and hospitality businesses globally.

Over the past several months, Instawork has announced $30 million in funding from top investors including Spark Capital, Benchmark and Burst Capital and now operates in nine U.S. markets: the Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Greater Los Angeles, New York, Greater Phoenix, San Diego and Washington, DC.

InnSpire Leverages Zyxel’s Nebula Cloud Network Solution

InnSpire, a provider of guest engagement, digital entertainment and business intelligence solutions for the global hospitality industry, has implemented a highly customized cloud-based WiFi network infrastructure, along with its IPTV guestroom solution at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, CA.

Leveraging the Zyxel Nebula Cloud Network Management system, InnSpire completed a complete overhaul of the property’s previous ineffective and outdated wired guest internet to provide the latest guestroom entertainment and WiFi platforms for the property, including interactive TVs with streaming and casting capabilities.

The Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino sought to upgrade its existing network infrastructure in response to guest complaints about poor WiFi connectivity and stability, which negatively impacted the guest experience, as well as the property’s online review scores. Leveraging the Zyxel Nebula Cloud Network Management System, InnSpire was selected to deliver a completely cloud-managed, network topology with more than 1,000 network devices and a robust HSIA gateway with a centralized PMS interface.
