Parker-Torres Design, an international hospitality interior design firm, has hired Alex Hobocienski as a senior project manager, based out of Chicago. He will serve an instrumental role in the firm’s food and beverage as well as hospitality design practices.
“In the past year, we’ve expanded our operations to Chicago through our partnership with Baker Barrios and its office there, and adding Alex, who brings significant experience and expertise in hospitality to our team, further establishes our presence in the region,” said Barbara Parker, co-founder, Boston-based Parker-Torres Design, which was acquired by multidisciplinary design firm Baker Barrios Architects last year.
Prior to joining Parker-Torres Design, Hobocienski served as director of interior architecture for KTGY Simeone Deary and led his own firm, HT Creative Studio. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous award-winning national and international hospitality projects, ranging from boutique hotels to luxury entertainment destinations.
“This is a particularly exciting time to join Parker-Torres, as the firm continues to grow its footprint in the Chicago area, and I’m honored to be a part of that effort,” he said. “Chicago is a world-class hospitality destination, with many of the most influential luxury hotel and restaurant brands having a presence here, so there is great potential to continue to grow the firm.”
