Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter debuts

Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter has opened in downtown San Diego after a nearly $30 million property-wide reimagination, marking the brand’s first city-center location on the West Coast.

The hotel was formerly the Hotel Solamar San Diego.

Designed by Dawson Design Associates, in partnership with San Diego-based Rossi Architecture, the hotel has 235 guestrooms and suites, two of which—the Jimmy Buffett Suite and Nothin’ But Breeze Suite—open to the pool deck.

Amenities include the city’s largest rooftop pool deck, according to the brand, as well as three dining venues and 13,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space, including 7,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space on its rooftop.

Nearby attractions include Petco Park, the San Diego Convention Center and the USS Midway Museum.
