Hotel Solaya debuts in Old Town Scottsdale

Hotel Solaya has officially opened in Old Town Scottsdale as part of the JdV by Hyatt brand portfolio. The newly reimagined property is managed by Dreamscape Hospitality.

The property features 194 newly redesigned guestrooms and suites, art-filled common spaces, curated dining concepts, an on-site spa & fitness center and an outdoor pool deck. The name Solaya combines “Sol,” the sun, with “Aya,” the goddess of dawn.

The design of Hotel Solaya introduces a Modern Mexican flare, with interiors designed for natural connection. The property’s sculptural architecture utilizes a play of light and shadow to create an approachable yet elevated oasis, according to Hyatt. The aesthetic, rooted firmly in the Sonoran Desert, balances “rich cultural textures with tonal elegance.”

“Hotel Solaya was designed to celebrate the energy of Scottsdale while offering guests a space that feels both vibrant and welcoming,” said Tobby Rau, Hotel Solaya GM. “From the architecture and design to the culinary concepts and poolside atmosphere, every element reflects a sense of curiosity, connection, and discovery.”

The highlight of the hotel’s culinary experience, Ella on the Park, is set to open in late Spring overlooking Civic Center Park. The restaurant will seat up to 150 guests across its indoor dining room and outdoor patio. It will also feature a 360-degree bar. Common Ground Bistro, offering breakfast and light bites throughout the day, is located in the lobby.

Hotel Solaya also offers seven versatile event spaces, including a 3,500-sq.-ft. outdoor lawn and a 2,600-sq.-ft. high-ceiling ballroom.
