Hilton has named Beth Jafari as VP, global government affairs.
She most recently served as senior government relations counsel at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, representing clients across a variety of industries. Prior to that, Jafari spent 20 years in the U.S. Senate as chief of staff to Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), where she led a team to advance the senator’s key priorities, played a pivotal role in bipartisan deal-making and with Congressional leadership, and is widely respected across Capitol Hill and throughout the business community, according to the company. Earlier in her career, she was with King & Spalding and worked in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Reporting to Katherine Lugar, EVP, corporate affairs, Hilton, Jafari oversees the vision, strategy and execution for the company’s advocacy, government affairs, trade associations and public policy globally, helping to further advocate for Hilton, hotel owners and the industry.
“We continue to focus on building proactive engagement with key stakeholders and strengthening our voice in promoting pro-travel policies across the world,” said Lugar. “Beth has a proven track record of strong leadership and advancing priorities across party lines, and she will be an outstanding addition to the Hilton family.”
