Hotel Brokers International (HBI), the real estate industry’s oldest network of hotel broker specialists, has installed its 2022-23 board of directors. The HBI board, comprising seven officers/directors, was elected by the general membership during the organization’s 63rd annual meeting.

The 2022-23 HBI board of directors, who began their board term on March 14, consists of the following members:

  • Edward P. Walsh, Alpine Realty Capital LLC
  • Dan Emert, Prime Investment Properties LLC
  • Ford C. Barton, Lodging Partners LLC
  • Errol A. D’Souza, Laurel Real Estate Company
  • Joseph P. Kennedy, Crystal Investment Property LLC
  • Steele Blue, Scoggin Blue LLC
  • Michelle Kennedy, Crystal Investment Property LLC

The board’s primary objectives for this year are expanding the organization’s affiliate membership program and the marketing initiatives provided to HBI industry partners, enhancing the digital marketing tools available exclusively to HBI brokers, building upon the association’s reputation and market share through promotion of the value of professional investment advisory services in the hospitality industry.

Founded in 1959, Hotel Brokers International members lead the industry in hotel real estate sales. HBI hotel brokerage specialists have successfully negotiated more than 10,000 hotel real estate transactions and consistently account for the largest share of all select-service and economy hotel sales in the U.S. The organization’s database currently comprises more than 100 property listings and the HBI website attracts site visitors from around the world. HBI is the founder and administrator of the Certified Hotel Broker program—the industry’s only professional designation for hotel brokers.
