Dovetail + Co partners with Charlestowne Hotels for Collective Retreats Governors Island

Dovetail + Co has partnered with Charlestowne Hotels to support the continued growth of Collective Retreats Governors Island in New York City. Under the agreement, Charlestowne Hotels will oversee the property’s commercial strategy, including revenue optimization, integrated marketing, direct booking initiatives and expanded group and leisure sales efforts while working alongside Dovetail + Co and the on-property team.

Collective Retreats Governors Island is located on a six-acre waterfront site and offers an outdoor luxury retreat located an eight-minute ferry ride from Lower Manhattan. The property features 29 accommodations, including safari-style tents with private decks and cabins with spa-inspired bathrooms overlooking the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

Dining is centered around Three Peaks Lodge, which offers a menu featuring farm-to-island ingredients and wood-fired cooking techniques. Additional amenities include the Sunset Terrace Bar, fireside programming and six indoor and outdoor event venues ranging from 500 to 5,000 sq. ft. that can accommodate up to 250 guests for weddings, corporate retreats and private events.

“Collective Retreats offers an experience unlike anything else in New York City, offering guests an immersive retreat that feels worlds away while remaining just minutes from Manhattan,” said Phil Hospod, founder/CEO, Dovetail + Co. “Charlestowne Hotels shares our commitment to independent hospitality and will be a valuable collaborator as we continue to build on the retreat’s success, creating even more opportunities for connection, discovery and memorable stays.”

Kyle Hughey, CEO, Charlestowne Hotels, said the partnership aligns with changing traveler preferences.

“Today’s travelers are looking for experiences that feel personal, transportive and connected to place, and this property delivers that in a truly remarkable way,” he said. “Our team is excited to support the property’s next phase of growth to strengthen market awareness, implement strategic demand generation and continue elevating the guest experience.”

The companies said they will focus on expanding leisure and group business, increasing direct bookings and strengthening the retreat’s position in the luxury travel, outdoor hospitality and corporate retreat markets through coordinated revenue management, sales and marketing strategies.
