Charlestowne Hotels to manage The H Hotel

Charlestowne Hotels has continued its expansion in the Midwest with the management takeover of The H Hotel in Midland, MI. It is the company’s first property in the state and seventh in the region.

The 139-room hotel, which has transitioned from a Dolce by Wyndham property, offers more than 25,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting and even space, including a ballroom and outdoor courtyard.

“Our team has decades of experience managing lifestyle hotels, and to work with a property that’s transitioning to being independently run is especially exciting for us,” said Kyle Hughey, CEO, Charlestowne Hotels. “The H Hotel is respected for its long-standing commitment to the community, and as part of this transition, we’re working directly alongside ownership to elevate the existing character and charm of this iconic Midland property.”

The property offers three dining establishments, as well as outdoor pods for dining during the colder months.

“We’re looking forward to collaborating with Charlestowne Hotels on ways to further enhance on-site facilities and guest programming as we seek to create a heightened sense of place for all who walk through our doors,” said Derek Grimaldi, GM, The H Hotel. “Through this new partnership, we’ll introduce more ways for our visitors to savor Midland’s vibrant arts, culture, and recreational offerings through thoughtful amenities and tailored experiences.”

The property joins Charlestowne’s Midwest portfolio alongside newly opened Hotel Verdant (Racine, WI) and Deer Path Inn (Lake Forest, IL).
