Omega Hotel Group has sold the Best Western Sugar Sands Inn & Suites in Destin, FL, to an institutional buyer. The new owner intends to reposition the property as a Spark by Hilton.
The 137-room hotel is near Destin’s white sand beaches and guests enjoy nearby shopping and dining opportunities, as well as various outdoor activities including boating, fishing, paddleboarding and snorkeling.
Hunter Hotel Advisors advised the seller. “We had the privilege of representing both the seller and buyer on this transaction,” said Shamir Patel, SVP, Hunter, who executed the sale. “Destin is one of the most sought-after markets in Florida, with an almost impossible barrier to entry. We are very excited to see what this new Spark by Hilton brand can do there.”
