It was all smiles as industry colleagues across North America were able to convene for ALL ABOARD DESIGN, a new, hospitality industry match event, held from Oct. 7-10, at the Sweetgrass Inn in Isle of Palms, SC, according to Michael Schneider, president/CEO, NEXT Events.
In a year not yet quite ‘normal,’ with meetings and events requiring vaccines and negative COVID test results to participate, All Aboard was calm in sometimes stormy seas. More than 80 industry professionals talked of active jobs and promising pipelines, and suppliers shared new products with designers, architects and purchasing firms, added Schneider.
“After having been sidelined for two years, it was great to finally launch All Aboard, and it was gratifying to see our industry friends doing business again,” said Schneider. “We converted from an actual cruise ship event when we realized that people would feel more comfortable on land, given how COVID had affected the cruise line industry. We’re glad to see that’s coming back now as well,” he added.
The 2022 All Aboard Design will take place at The Bobby Hotel, in Nashville, April 10-13. “We anticipate double the number of attendees and suppliers in 2022, hopefully, the industry, and the world, will be much healthier,” said Schneider.
