Baraka Capital acquires Hotel Indigo Atlanta Vinings
Baraka Capital Management has acquired the Hotel Indigo Atlanta Vinings. The property, managed by Commonwealth Hotels, is located about 12 miles from Downtown Atlanta.

Guestrooms feature plush bedding, spa-inspired bathrooms, hard surface flooring and complimentary wireless internet. Flexible event space is available with full-service catering for meetings, weddings and special events. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant, The Public House.

The property is near attractions such as Truist Ballpark, the Georgia Aquarium, Six Flags and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Business travelers will benefit from the close proximity of the hotel to many nearby companies including Home Depot HQ, Nissan, Sanvik, Lockheed Martin, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, IBM and the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Wheelock Street Capital purchases two San Diego hotels
Wheelock Street Capital has acquired two premium limited-service assets in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter—the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Gaslamp and the Moxy San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter—from San Diego-based J Street.

The 90-room Courtyard and 126-room Moxy are close to the San Diego Convention Center, Petco Park and more than three million sq. ft. of commercial development in planning or currently under construction in the downtown area. The Courtyard features a rooftop bar and event space, the Nolen, which offers panoramic views of the San Diego skyline.

Island Hospitality will assume management responsibilities under Wheelock’s ownership.

The acquisition marks Wheelock’s return to the San Diego hospitality market, having previously owned the Courtyard San Diego Downtown, Marriott Mission Valley and Hilton Del Mar.

CBRE Group Inc. arranged the sale of both hotels.

Marcus & Millichap arranges sale of Quality Inn in Raleigh, NC
Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of the Quality Inn Raleigh Near Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, NC. The 60-room hospitality property sold for $4.4 million, according to Benjamin Yelm, regional manager of the firm’s offices in the Carolinas.

Jack Davis, Eric Webster, Joce Messinger, Josh Williams and Milin Mehta, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Charleston and Charlotte Uptown offices, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, Ahkh LLC, and secured the buyer, a private investor.

The hotel was built in 1996 and offers a fitness center, meeting room and business center. Each guestroom comes equipped with free WiFi, a flat-screen HDTV and a mini-fridge, among other amenities.
