What’s new: Carl Hansen & Son

Carl Hansen & Son has released new products for hospitality.

The PK1 Cord is a lightweight and stackable chair designed by Poul Kjærholm. The PK1 Chair was originally released and designed in 1955 and was made of brushed steel and wicker. Now the iconic chair has now been made available in steel and certified paper cord, a natural and durable material which patinates beautifully with time. The intricate weaving technique, which looks equally beautiful from the front and back, has been specially developed for the PK1, and was inspired by Kjærholm’s original work with wicker. The PK1 Chair is a classic piece of furniture that is comfortable, lightweight and stackable (four chairs).

The circular KK66870 Coffee Table was originally designed in 1930, by Kaare Klint and has a refined appearance. The band that wraps around the tabletop, gives the table a soft and tactile look. The table’s angled legs have vertical grooves which stop at the shelf and continue under the tabletop; an elegant and decorative detail that celebrates good craftsmanship and adds character to the piece. The square KK44860 Side Table also designed by Kaare Klint has a more discreet and minimalist aesthetic.

The AH Outdoor Series, designed by Danish architect Alfred Homann, is a stackable outdoor collection that combines rigorous design with soft details. The collection is characterized by its simple, clear and logical design, with a focus on high functionality and minimal superfluous details. The series includes eleven pieces of furniture, including dining tables and chairs, a bench, lounge tables and chairs, and a lounger, all of which can be mixed and matched to suit individual needs. The AH Outdoor collection is made of teak and offers durability due to its high content of natural oils making it well-suited for changing climates.
