INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Four new properties have joined the global hospitality scene, including an art-focused Ryse in South Korea; a Hyatt Regency in the holy city of Amritsar, India; and there’s more.
Autograph Collection Opens Ryse in South Korea
Autograph Collection Hotels has opened Ryse in Hongdae, a neighborhood Seoul, South Korea. Ryse is the second Autograph Collection hotel in the city and joins the brand’s diverse portfolio of more than 135 hotels around the world.
Conceived and designed by Michaelis Boyd, the hotel’s interiors collide energetically: bare concrete and industrial brass metal meet glossy pink flooring and modern art installations are on display. The hotel’s art concept starts from an artistic outdoor mural and continues through the lobby where pop-up exhibitions feature hanging sculptures.
Ryse has 272 guestrooms including 14 suites; each designed to highlight a prominent art piece from an exclusive collection for the hotel.
Hyatt Regency Enters Holy City in India
The Hyatt Amritsar has been rebranded into a Hyatt Regency hotel. It is the 11th Hyatt Regency property in India and joins a network of more than 180 Hyatt Regency properties worldwide.
Located on Grand Trunk Rd., Hyatt Regency Amritsar is the closest upper-upscale hotel to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, according to the company.
Accommodations include 248 modern guestrooms, inclusive of suites and Regency Club rooms, with an indoor and outdoor area of more than 11,000 sq. ft., a spa, a swimming pool and a vitality pool.
Now Open: Aloft City Centre Deira
The Aloft City Centre Deira has opened, marking the Aloft brand’s third design-led property in Dubai, UAE.
Owned and developed by Majid Al Futtaim, the property is situated in the cultural heart of the city and is the first hotel in the region to offer movie-themed suites, alongside a Vox Cinemas’ Outdoor screen and the Aloft brand’s signature programming.
Directly connected to City Centre Deira, Aloft suite themes include Bollywood, Hollywood, Agent House and a specially created Dubai superhero suite.
Emaar Hospitality Group’s Flagship Opens
Address Downtown, the flagship hotel under Emaar Hospitality Group’s premium lifestyle Address Hotels + Resorts, has opened in Dubai, UAE.
Among the highlights are new restaurant concepts, spa, cigar lounge and high-end interior design. Accommodations include 220 guestrooms and suites. Guestrooms and suites are equipped with high-speed WiFi, interactive TVs, room automation and entertainment interface.
The hotel is proximate to the Dubai International Airport and a short distance to The Dubai Mall.
