Hotel Emporium, the manufacturer of sustainable hotel amenities, has made new design updates to its bulk Floating Dispenser, an eco-friendly dispenser that was initially announced in 2022.
The upgrades include a new style, refillable capabilities and an eco-conscious construction of recycled plastic.
“Typically, hotels go through thousands of little toiletries a year,” said Andy De Silva, CEO, Hotel Emporium. “But there was a movement that started in California to move away from plastic bottles, and then the whole world got behind it. For a refillable dispenser, there going to be a little over 100 kilograms of waste plastic in landfills vs. 18,000 to 20,000 bottles annually.”
Offering conditioning shampoo, conditioner, hand and body wash and moisturizer, the Floating Dispenser enables hotels to move to larger, eco-friendly dispensing solutions.
“The Floating Dispenser looks like a floating bottle on the wall,” said De Silva. “It also gives the hotel shower a unique, high-end look.”
The dispenser is now made of recycled plastic, and the upgrades include adding different shapes to the product line and changing the locking mechanism.
“We created like a variety of sleek shapes—curved, rectangular and cylinder, and we changed the locking mechanism from a little plastic lock on the back to a magnetic block, which is pretty strong,” the CEO said.
The Floating Dispenser is available across Hotel Emporium’s entire amenity line, which includes Terra Green and Woodbury and Co., as well as well-known brands Badgley Mischka and Kenneth Cole.
“Kenneth Cole is one of our recently acquired licensing brands and all of the Wyndham Destinations presidential suites have the Floating Dispensers,” said De Silva.
