Sunbrella Contract releases third collection with United Fabrics

Sunbrella and United Fabrics unveil Modern Art, their third joint-contract upholstery collection to help design professionals discover new opportunities for contemporary commercial spaces. Featuring 32 new durable, soft and bleach-cleanable fabrics in a range of bold colors and playful patterns, Modern Art is designed to complement the Origins and Reflections collections, as well as other fabrics within the Sunbrella Contract portfolio.

Inspired by iconic art styles that pushed boundaries, this new collection is informal yet spirited, with fabrics that demonstrate how color and pattern can evoke a sense of playfulness and creativity within a space. These textiles are engineered with durability and stain resistance to hold their vibrant color even in high-traffic spaces.

Standout patterns from the collection:

Jackson—Inspired by the process of putting paintbrush to canvas, this dynamic brushstroke pattern captures the energy and emotion of an abstract expressionist composition.
Rothko—This playful and modern take on a classic cabana stripe is woven in a variety of fresh color combinations.
Rubix—A graphic inspired by mid-century trends, this pattern is playful, multicolored and a great feature pattern for colorful design schemes.
Toggle—This playful Sunbrella Contract mainstay for United Fabrics lives on through new colors.
Pop—Distinctive and unique, this large-scale pattern features a bold graphic dot motif with inspiration from pop art and the layered process of screen-printing.

Modern Art is suitable for a variety of commercial hospitality settings, from hotels to restaurants and beyond.

Supreen reveals menswear-inspired patterns

Building upon the signature softness, performance capabilities and sustainable properties of its inaugural launch, Supreen’s new menswear-inspired patterns offer a fresh yet decidedly classic upholstery option for commercial spaces from healthcare to hospitality alike. Designed to outperform while still looking debonair, the three new timeless, wool-inspired textures reminiscent of houndstooth, heathered flannel and tweed men’s suiting combine Supreen’s original, revolutionary liquid-barrier and stain-resistance with an elevated element of luxury—available in more than 54 basic to bold colorways.

Continuing to exceed industry standards, the new designs exemplify a marriage of performance, sustainability and aesthetics. Prioritizing human health and the environment since its inception, Supreen has been free of PFAs and fluorocarbons even before increased governmental regulations were put in place, in addition to being HHI and Prop 65 compliant with a manufacturing process that removes 99% of invisible contaminants. While still maintaining these qualities along with its surprisingly soft hand, bleach-cleanability and performance capabilities, all three new patterns of Supreen are made with solution-dyed polyester, offering a heightened element of color-richness and material quality evocative of sophisticated menswear.

Offered in a unique selection of colorways, the new patterns range from everyday neutrals to lavish hues of red, purple, gold and even brighter undertones like teal, with the houndstooth pattern offered in 14 colorways, the flannel-like heathered pattern in 23 colorways, and the tweed-inspired pattern in 17 colorways. Appealing to designers’ various appetites for color and texture, the new artfully curated patterns allow for experimentation with style and color without sacrificing performance—seamlessly combining elegance, boldness and peace of mind.
