TLC adds hospitality vets to board

The Living Company (TLC), a hospitality and housing furnishings supplier, has attracted two top hotel industry veterans, Dave Johnson (above left) and Dan Hansen, to serve on its board of directors as it expands its services within the hospitality sector.

Beyond hospitality, TLC is an industry leader in the workforce housing and co-living sectors, providing best-in-class furniture manufacturing, white-glove installation and ongoing support to the multifamily and student housing verticals.

Dave Johnson, founder of real estate investment company Horizon Capital Partners LLC, and founder/former executive chairman of Aimbridge Hospitality, from which he departed in August 2021, joins as a board member and has invested personal capital in helping grow The Living Company’s footprint in hospitality casegoods.

“I was a client of The Living Company for years through Aimbridge and have always been impressed with the level of service and, even more so, the very personal commitment to their customer’s success that they bring to the table on every project,” he said. “I am honored to accept a board position and make a personal investment as they continue to export their expertise to the lodging sector.”

Dan Hansen, former CEO/executive chairman of Summit Hotel Properties, from which he retired in December 2021, also joins as a board member. Like Johnson, Hansen worked with The Living Company extensively during his time at Summit.

“The Living Company offers one of the most robust and diversified supply chains around, which we all know is highly critical, with best-in-class logistics and exemplary service every step of the way,” said Hansen. “I am honored to serve on the board as The Living Company continues its expansion into hospitality.”
