Timbers Company, a developer and operator of boutique luxury resorts and private residence clubs, has appointed Darrin Griffin as chief development officer.

In his new role, Griffin is responsible for identifying opportunities aligned with the brand’s expansion goals, as well as overseeing the company’s current expansion, including the addition of new residences joining Timbers Resorts’ collection as well as its sister brand, Soleil Hotels & Resorts, a forthcoming collection of authentic hotels, resorts and residences situated in “distinctive, intriguing” locales.

“Darrin’s expertise in the real estate and construction industries is a crucial asset for Timbers’ long-term expansion goals as we continue to experience strong demand for luxury resorts located in the world’s most celebrated locales,” said Greg Spencer, CEO, Timbers Company. “Timbers not only has sights on international expansion, but also building upon our current portfolio of domestic resort communities including Hōkūala in Kauai, HI, where our Pakele Ike homesites have sold at an astounding rate, and South Seas in Captiva Island, FL.”

Griffin brings more than three decades of experience in real estate and construction, holding leadership roles with RMC Property Group and Kelsey Construction. Previous to these roles, he served in the U.S. Navy as a radiological controls supervisor on the USS Norfolk, a fast-attack nuclear submarine, and as an instructor in the prototype training unit. Most recently, he cofounded HGR Construction, where he was able to grow the company from inception to $350 million in annual construction.

“Real estate development is not merely about creating spaces, it’s about crafting legacies and creating spaces that enrich lives, and bestowing lasting memories on guests,” he said. “I chose to focus on real estate development at Timbers Company because of our shared commitment to these principles. Together, we have the opportunity to shape the future, one project at a time, and I’m excited to be part of a team that values experience, innovation, excellence and the profound potential of every space we touch.”
