Three management companies add to portfolios

Hotel Equities and Crestline Hotels & Resorts have been chosen to manage a hotels on college campuses, while HEI Hotels & Resorts will operate the Kimpton property planned for a mixed-use development in Georgia.

Hotel Equities selected to manage Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rome, GA
Hotel Equities is managing the recently opened Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Rome (shown above) in Rome, GA. The new hotel is owned and developed by Berry College and is located next to the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College. The hotel is expected to capture revenue otherwise lost to nearby cities because of a lack of suitable accommodations in the Rome area, according to the company. In addition to providing hotel rooms for visitors, the hotel will employ students giving them hands-on experience in hospitality management.

The artwork in the hotel’s public spaces provides an opportunity to connect to the story of Berry College through embedded QR codes. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, high-speed WiFi connectivity, a fitness center, seasonal pool and a lobby bar and restaurant.

Hotel Equities provided its development services expertise throughout the hotel’s construction, collaborating with architects, design and contractors from the early stages of the development.

Crestline selected to manage The Inn at Virginia Tech, Skelton Conference Center
Crestline Hotels & Resorts LLC  has been selected to manage The Inn at Virginia Tech and the adjacent Skelton Conference Center located on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. The hotel has 147 guestrooms and suites, as well as 23,705 sq. ft. of meeting space at the conference center.

Opened in 2005 and wholly owned by Virginia Tech, The Inn at Virginia Tech is the only hotel on the university’s Blacksburg campus. Food & beverage outlets include Preston’s restaurant and Continental Divide Lounge.

The conference center includes a 700-seat ballroom and 10 conference rooms.

HEI Hotels & Resorts to manage Kimpton hotel in Roswell, GA
HEI Hotels & Resorts has been selected by True North Companies to manage a new Kimpton branded boutique hotel that will be part of the West Alley Roswell mixed-used development in the Historic District of Roswell, GA.

The West Alley project is anticipated to transform the Roswell Historic District into a thriving and sustainable destination composed of a green space for community gatherings, shops, restaurants and the new 125-room hotel. All of these additions will serve as economic drivers for the area, bringing locals to the Historic District for shopping, dining and entertainment, according to HEI.

The interior design of the hotel is being created by Atlanta-based design firm Sims Patrick Studio. Their vision for the property includes modern amenities, graciously appointed rooms and tributes to local culture through art and curated spaces. Guests can expect a multi-level lobby space connecting a chef-driven restaurant, rooftop bar, adjoining event, meeting and break-out spaces and specialty event hospitality suites.

HEI Hotels & Resorts currently manages several upscale and upper-upscale hotels and resorts in Georgia, including nine in Atlanta and The Brice Hotel (a Kimpton property) in Savannah.
