The Royal Sonesta Washington, DC Capitol Hill opens

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has opened The Royal Sonesta Washington, DC Capitol Hill. The hotel features a 10-story atrium and 274 guestrooms.

The pet-friendly hotel pays homage to its location with art installations that reference its surroundings, including portraits of Supreme Court Justices, news clippings and political motifs. Amenities include a fitness center and private yoga studio, filtered water stations and EV charging stations.

The property also features the multipurpose Sonesta Work Suite, an experiential meeting space concept that provides a multizone and tech-enabled meeting experience, as well as a 3,100-sq.-ft. ballroom and 2,400-sq.-ft. conference center, both located on the penthouse level with private terraces and panoramic city views overlooking several national monuments. KNEAD Hospitality + Design will provide food & beverage services in the new 200-seat French restaurant Bistro Du Jour on the hotel’s main level with a bar and lounge and outdoor cafĂ©.

The Royal Sonesta Washington DC Capitol Hill is a LEED Gold Certified and WELL Certified Core/Shell property redeveloped by The RMR Group. It is across the street from Union Station and close to landmarks such as The Capitol and Supreme Court.
