People are spending more time outdoors, whether because of COVID-19 protocols or just a desire to enjoy some fresh air. Here’s a look at products that make being outside more comfortable and stylish.
Equinox Louvered Roof Cabana
New to Tuuci’s Equinox Cabana line, the Automated Louvered Roof consists of remote-controlled tilting louvers that can be easily adjusted to provide the optimal amount of sunlight or fully closed to provide protection from rain as a discreet gutter system collects rainwater and efficiently moves it away from the cabana.

The Destination Collection
KnollTextiles has introduced the high-performance Destination Collection with four bleach cleanable upholsteries, drapery, privacy fabric and three vinyl wallcoverings.
“In the design studio, the ideas that create a collection are the result of a methodical process. It begins with the gathering of visual cues, and then reflecting on those images and forms to develop design concepts,” said Dorothy Cosonas, creative director, KnollTextiles. “All through this process we constantly discuss, question and refine the emerging work.”
Destination has four bleach cleanable upholsteries featuring Stripe It, a full-width repeat épinglé construction suitable for outdoor use that is also antimicrobial. Utopia is a budget-friendly indoor/outdoor velvet available in 20 colors, while Vice Versa and Retreat offer pattern of varying scales. Vice Versa is a small but mighty geometric and Retreat is a calming midscale organic design. All have performance attributes like stain resistance and excellent light fastness.
“The Destination Collection takes its inspiration from what surrounds us,” she said. “It highlights and focuses on the fine balance of structure and abstraction found in patterns and textures in both architecture and nature.”
Serene Modular Seating Collection
Beaufurn has introduced the Serene Collection, a modular exterior seating and table collection.
“Beaufurn’s Serene Collection was inspired by the confluence of two ideas: combining the art of relaxation and the science of modularity,” said Thomas Bongaerts, CEO, Beaufurn. “In other words, putting the fun in functional. We wanted to create user-configurable casual outdoor furniture where the modular seating and exterior table units could be rearranged as often as needed in seating arrangements that enhance the property’s space or event.”
The deep seating cushions provide a comfortable setting to relax and unwind, while the individual units can be configured into the size and shape that best suits the user’s needs.
The seat cushions measure 29-in. x 29-in. x 6.25-in. and the modules in this configurable group include a side chair, corner chair, side table and coffee table. The side table can be positioned at the end of or between the side chairs to create two-, three- and four-seater “sofas” and the armrest can be added to any unit. The cushions are upholstered in outdoor fabrics in light gray, beige and anthracite and come with outdoor fill. The powder-coated, square tubular aluminum frame is available in taupe, anthracite and white. The tabletops are available in any of the company’s scratch resistant, all weather Urban table tops in faux stone and wood-look designs.
