The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, a staple luxury destination in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is in the process of completing a refresh throughout all 1,002 guest resort suites, scheduled to be completed by early March.
Inspired by the Blanco River central wellspring, designer Seifert Murphy carefully constructed a modern take on the casual elegance of the Texas Hill Country. The refreshed rooms incorporate aspects such as the rush of water and trademark cliffs found deep within the river to reflect within the suites’ color palette and aesthetic.
New furnishings, light fixtures and select millwork elements have been combined with vertical directives juxtaposed with organic movement to nod to the architectural elements of the river itself. The uses of different woods, copper, limestone, leather and other natural materials in the furniture combine to create a warmth that feels like home.
Guests are invited to immerse in a freshly designed deluxe suite and enjoy particularly chosen contemporary textiles that promise durability. Uniquely constructed headboards reflect the stone and rock found naturally within the San Antonio area. The staple art piece in the room is a playful take on the limestone rock stacking along The Blanco River.
