Properties under new management

Hotels across the country have new management, including five for Avion Hospitality and three for Maverick.

Avion Hospitality awarded management of five hotels
Third-party hotel management company Avion Hospitality has been awarded the management contract for five Texas hotels owned Mac Haik Enterprises LTD.

Unquestionably, Avion will return exceptional results for our hotels.”

The assets are a combination of Hilton and Marriott branded properties, including:

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton College Station (pictured above)
  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Energy Corridor
  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston West – Katy
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Energy Corridor
  • Home2 Suites by Hilton Houston – Energy Corridor

Maverick Hotels and Restaurants adds three properties to portfolio
Maverick Hotels and Restaurants has added three hotels in the metropolitan Chicago market.

The Holiday Inn Chicago – Elk Grove in Elk Grove Village, IL, features 160 guestrooms with triple-sheeted bedding and plush-top mattresses. Each room also includes a work desk with an ergonomic chair, free high-speed wireless Internet access and a 37-inch HD LCD TV. Other features include a complimentary fitness center, heated indoor pool, Shelby Campbell’s Tavern & Grill restaurant and five meeting rooms with 7,500 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Maverick also recently broke ground on the 135-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Illinois Medical District – Chicago. Developed in conjunction with Eastlake Management, the hotel will open in fall 2023.

The company also revealed that it has acquired the Prairie Lakes Resort is located 28 miles from downtown Chicago and 30 minutes from O’Hare International Airport. Featuring Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture, the 308-room hotel brings classic Chicago and Midwestern hospitality together under one roof, and features 7,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space and the Cave Bar located in the atrium.

Benchmark Pyramid adds Hotel 83
Benchmark Pyramid has assumed management of the 126-room Hotel 83 in Raleigh, NC.

The company will also oversee the conversion of the property (a former Origin Hotel) to a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Marriott’s upscale collection brand of independent, boutique hotels. The conversion process is expected to be completed by late summer.

Located at the intersection of the Warehouse and Glenwood South districts in downtown Raleigh, the seven-story hotel is close to the North Carolina State Capitol and Raleigh Union Station. Guestrooms are outfitted with luxury linens, locally inspired décor and an array of convenient, contemporary amenities. Guests may enjoy 800 sq. ft. of meeting space, a fitness center, retail area with locally sourced gifts and high-speed WiFi. The hotel also houses Good Day Good Night, a neighborhood restaurant that utilizes the best local ingredients from North Carolina farmers, fishermen and culinary purveyors.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts adds Aloft Mountain View to Latitudes Collection
Aloft Mountain View, located above Silicon Valley near Google’s headquarters, has joined Crescent Hotels and Resorts’ portfolio of boutique hotels and resorts. The property—formerly a Hilton Garden Inn—underwent an extensive renovation to re-emerge as this “next generation Aloft hotel.”

All guestrooms are appointed with modern amenities including 65-in. flatscreen, high-definition televisions, fast WiFi and walk-in rainfall showers. The property also includes 2,112 sq. ft. of event space. There are four rooms, including a contemporary banquet hall that can accommodate up to 125 guests.
