stayAPT Suites breaks ground on eight new hotel locations

Apartment-style hotel brand stayAPT Suites has broken ground on eight new locations in Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina as part of its mission to build an extensive portfolio of corporate-financed and franchised locations across the U.S.

The brand, which launched in 2020, has already opened five hotels across the southern U.S. region. It will open another five hotels this fall, has an additional eight locations currently under construction and 15+ sites in development. The brand expects to have 25+ stayAPT Suites hotels open by the end of 2022.

“The reaction we’ve received from guests and prospective investors has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Gary A. DeLapp, stayAPT Suites president/CEO. “Our flexible prototypes and high cash-on-cash yields have been very appealing to potential franchisees. In addition, guests have been blown away by the amount of space and the overall functionality in each suite. It’s like nothing else experienced in the category and is a game-changer for long-term lodging.”

The North Carolina-based hotel chain offers an apartment-style hotel experience that features a signature layout with a full-size kitchen, a dedicated living room and separate bedroom. Advantages of franchising with the brand, according to stayAPT Suites, include two- and three-story construction models ranging from 59-88 units, with flexible prototype sizes that provide efficient land usage ideal for sites ranging from 1.8-2.1 acres; industry leading margins with greater ROI potential, plenty of white space with the ability to fit well in large, medium or tertiary markets; and superior commercial real estate project yield.
