Industry veterans William Perry and Ruben Ortega have launched their new firm, Spark Hudson Advisors, which focuses on advisory, consultancy and hotel ownership.
The firm specializes in capital advisory and strategic hotel investment, the team is currently in the final stages of closing two branded transactions where Spark Hudson will serve as both general partner and asset manager.
Perry is a senior hotel and development executive with a career that spans nearly three decades in the U.S. and EMEA regions with major hotel brands including Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, Hilton, St. Regis, Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Conrad, as well as numerous upscale and luxury independent properties and private family offices. His experience consists of senior leadership roles in hotel development and acquisition, asset management, hotel operations, sales, revenue strategy and owner relations.
In May 2019, he returned to the U.S. after spending more than seven years in South Africa, where he was head of hotel assets for a private family office.
Ortega has more than a decade of professional experience that covers finance, real estate and hospitality management. He has a strong institutional background with roles at Goldman Sachs, Hersha and Kasa Living.
