Mumford Company represented Littlefield Enterprises Mt. Pleasant LLC in the sale of the Comfort Suites at Isle of Palms Connector in Mount Pleasant, SC, to Dhara Hospitality Group.
This is the fifth hotel transaction Mumford Company has structured for affiliates of the seller over the last 20 years. The purchaser, another group with whom Mumford Company has closed multiple transactions, is a growing regional hotel owner, operator and developer of midmarket hotels primarily in the southeastern U.S. After a full renovation, the property will remain a Comfort Suites.
Ed James and Steve Kirby, Mumford Company managing principals, along with John James, senior associate, represented the seller in the transaction.
“We first engaged with the seller on this transaction in 2019 and, due to the COVID crisis and resulting business disruptions, were only able to finally bring it to market and ultimately to closing this year,” said James. “Purchaser Dhara Hospitality focused on the property from the start, and it was our pleasure to be able to guide them to a successful acquisition.”
The 81-unit, all-suite property is located at the Isle of Palms connector in Mount Pleasant and is one of the closest lodging properties to Isle of Palms beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool and fitness center and is adjacent to multiple F&B options and the largest shopping complex in the area.
