W San Francisco Has “Gold Fever” for Design

W San Francisco in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood has revealed its upcoming “Gold Fever” guestroom renovation. Inspired by San Francisco’s gold mining history and its current search for fortunes, the “Gold Fever” emerges at W San Francisco as the modern-day Gold Rush in an era of innovation in the city.

Themes of San Francisco’s culture and landmarks, such as its dissolving fog, are present throughout the new transformation. The renovation is slated to be completed in 2019.

Skylab Architecture, an interdisciplinary design studio, drew inspiration from the city’s history and culture.  W San Francisco has also collaborated with Solidarity of Unbridled Labour for the graphic pillows, bed throws and custom graphics found in the rooms. The property is also working with brands, Kristalia and Hansgrohe, for the geometric chairs and stools.
