The Hyatt Regency San Francisco is taking advantage of its location across the street from the city’s iconic The Embarcadero waterfront and Ferry Building, overlooking the San Francisco Bay, by launching 15 new guestrooms with premium water views.
“The design was highly inspired by and took advantage of the surrounding views: San Francisco Bay, The Ferry Building, and the Bay Bridge,” said Magdalena Laska, designer, Looney & Associates. “Modern minimalism sets the tone in the room. Functional furnishings and clever storage were thoughtfully designed to utilize the available space. The color palette is light and neutral with contrasting accents to create visual interest without detracting from the showstopper in the room, which is the breathtaking view of the bay. The accent wall color is inspired by the blue hues of the ocean, and the vertical and angled elements of the art installation above the headboard hint at the suspension cables and towers of the nearby Bay Bridge.”
Guests staying in a Water View room will experience high-tech amenities at their convenience including a wide variety of “smart” features that offer seamless services. Amazon’s Alexa is exclusively integrated into the new rooms with voice-activated controls to alter thermostats, lighting and shades. A virtual concierge will be available with streamlined voice commands assisting guests with tasks such as contacting the valet or ordering in room dining. Additional technology amenities offered in the rooms include a 65-in. TV with integral backlight, a soundbar, desk lamps with charging ports, and electric bathroom mirrors.
