Hotel technology leaders and vendors will make their way to Indianapolis for HITEC 2025, which will take place from Monday, June 16, through Thursday, June 19, at the Indiana Convention Center.
The conference portion of HITEC will include a number of sessions throughout the three days. Here’s a look at some of the highlights:
Monday
The conference kicks off with the educational session “AI Foundations: Making Sense of AI and Developing an AI-Ready Culture” from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Panelists Michael Goldrich, founder/chief advisor, Vivander Advisors; Matt Schwartz, CTO, Sage Hospitality Group; and Ryan Vet, speaker/author, RyanVet.com, will explore foundational AI concepts and practical applications, including AI Ascension, a strategic framework for developing organizational readiness and an innovation-focused mindset around AI. From 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Adam Mogelonsky, partner, Hotel Mogel Consulting Ltd., and Lyle Worthington, CEO, Worthington Tech BV, will take part in the HITEC Leadership Series: “High Performance Mindsets to Maximize Team Performance and Retention,” where they will offer lifestyle strategies and technologies that enhance health, performance and longevity for leaders and their teams.. The HITEC Opening Headliner Session takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring Trend Hunter founder Jeremy Gutsche. He will provide holistic insights on where global trends are heading. Location: Wabash Ballroom
Tuesday
Leading off the day, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:O0 a.m. will be the HITEC Headliner Session with economist and best-selling author Todd Buchholz, a former White House Advisor. Prior to the Headliner Session, the 2025 inductees to the International Technology Hall of Fame will be recognized. Location: Wabash Ballroom
Attendees will then get a chance to stop by the booths on the exhibition floor when it opens at 10:00 a.m. and will remain open until 4:00 p.m.
From 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., the HITEC Technology Showcase “The Power of Choice: Reimagining Guest Experience & Hotel Operations” will identify key operational and guest experience challenges that can be addressed through digital technologies. Panelists include Jim Gist, chief advisor, Gist Advisors; Darien Long, SVP, specialty access control solutions, dormakaba Inc.; Shannon McCallum, VP, hotel operations, Resorts World Las Vegas; Andrew Pirret, SVP, product, Alliants; Ceridwyn King, professor, Purdue University; and Andy Todd, VP, digital guest experience & hotel enablement, IHG Hotels & Resorts. Wednesday
The day begins with the “Entrepreneur 20X” session from 8:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., where entrepreneurs present business concepts to a room full of HITEC attendees, as well as a panel of judges including hospitality CIOs, angel investors, serial entrepreneurs and industry insiders. Location: Wabash Ballroom
The exhibition hall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Shortly after the doors to the exhibition hall close, the HITEC Technology Showcase Session “Beyond RevPAR: How Focusing on Revenue Per Available Guest (RevPAG) and Leveraging AI Unlocks Ancillary Revenue and Elevates Profits” from 3:15 p.m. to 4:05 p.m. will focus on how operators and owners can adopt technology and amend cultures to elevate their performance standards. Panelists include Michael Blake, VP, information technology, Kemper Sports; Jeffrey S. Thursday
The final day of the conference offers attendees one last opportunity to walk the exhibition floor from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
