Ritz-Carlton Dallas set to update

The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas is currently undergoing a $22-million reimagination to set a new standard of elegance for the ultimate in urban sophistication and style.

Masterfully crafted by Texas-based design firm, Rottet Studio, the renovation features enhanced comforts to all 218 guestrooms and suites, and refinements to the lobby, public areas and corridors as well as to the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge.

The design gleaned inspiration from the Dallas cityscape and gardens, fashion and Art-Deco architecture along with the historic influencers of Dallas’ past when cotton and cattle were transforming the city into the thriving metropolis it is today—reflected in woven and hand-stamped leather upholstery and details reminiscent of the finest saddlery, refined pattern, warm rich masculine colors and textures contrasting with light feminine colors.

Guestrooms include bespoke pieces such as a well-appointed proper writing desk, a desk chair crafted with an elegant hand-stamped pattern in the leather upholstery and an overall warm color palette of rich walnut contrasted with bone-colored ribbed lacquer, black granite and brushed brass metal, with accents of copper and rose gold tones. The design offers an ode to the Art-Deco undertones of the building’s architecture, along with the historic importance of Texas’ cattle industry and the art of saddle making.

Inspired by the renowned Dallas Botanical Garden, the room’s entry foyer features specialty wallpaper along with a ‘cellarette’ made of bone-colored lacquer, bronze glass and bronze metal detailing, housing The Ritz-Carlton’s signature minibar amenities.

A one-of-a-kind table is designed to display the lobby’s flower installations, with bronze and glass cylinders that act as legs cutting through the tabletop and emerging as floral vases. The unique piece rests on a rug intentionally designed with a pattern that reflects in the table, adding to the visual impact and resulting in a striking and well-integrated floral showcase.
