Remington promotes Jason Reader to EVP, operations

Jason Reader, who joined Remington Hotels in 2021, has been promoted to EVP, operations.

Drawing on knowledge gained from his previous role as SVP, operations, the veteran of more than 25 years in the industry will oversee all company operations and implement systems that support Remington’s overall goals for development and growth, according to the company. This includes spearheading the lifestyle division for independent luxury hotels, streamlining internal managing and reporting systems and further establishing Remington as a preferred third-party management company.

“Jason has been a tremendous asset in sharing his expertise with his peers and business partners throughout his time at Remington,” said Chris Green, president, Remington Hotels. “I’m confident his experience and extensive industry knowledge will continue translating into success for our operations leaders and hotel partners.”

Remington CEO Sloan Dean added, “Here at Remington, we continue to be a collector of A+ talent, and Jason is another shining example of that. Jason is one of the best operators in the industry. He is pragmatic, polished, intelligent and owner- and associate-centric. With Jason overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, I fully expect us to sail to new heights. Contrary to some of our large competitors that are a revolving door of executives, Remington is proud to always promote from within.”

Prior to joining Remington in 2021, Reader served as COO at Magna Hospitality. He also spent 15 years at Pyramid Hospitality, where he oversaw 50-plus hotels and was responsible for the lifestyle/independent division, along with other full- and select-service properties under top lodging brands.

“Remington is a great company filled with many talented people, so I am both grateful and humbled by this new opportunity,” said Reader. “I’m excited to collaborate with the team to continue operating at the highest level and have fun doing it.”
