HVMG awarded management of Marriott resort in Florida
Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) has assumed management of the 219-room Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa. The property was recently acquired by Key International and Wexford Real Estate Investors (WREI).

The property is the latest addition to Key International’s active hospitality acquisition program, which focuses on the purchase of well-located hotels and resorts in robust markets throughout the Southeast U.S. and Europe, according to the company. In partnership with WREI, the firm plans a major renovation to the resort, creating a new resort-style pool deck and upgrading the room product as well as the on-site restaurant. Together, Key International and WREI have developed multiple beachfront hotel and resort properties in Florida with current assets in Panama City Beach, Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Valor Hospitality to manage Scores Hotel
Valor Hospitality Partners, a global, full-service hotel management company has announced its partnership with U.S.-based Links Collection and Northern Ireland-based Wirefox to operate the Scores Hotel in St. Andrews, Scotland, beginning with an 18-month renovation.

Formed by Texas-based partners Robert Covington and Jonathan Harper, the Links Collection has a goal to develop and grow a portfolio of small boutique hotels around iconic U.K. golf destinations, according to the company. Wirefox will lead the development, while Valor Hospitality will provide all hospitality development consulting services, followed by managing the property upon opening.

Links Collection and Wirefox acquired the historic 36-room property from the Mann family who owned and operated the hotel for the past 34 years.

The refurbishment will expand the existing space to create a luxurious boutique hotel. The property will feature multiple dining outlets, including a restaurant, bar, café, garden patio and outdoor terrace. The hotel is set to reopen in 2023.
