Proper Hospitality, The Class form wellness partnership

Proper Hospitality and Proper Hotels have formed a national, brand-wide partnership with The Class, a mindful movement studio that blends cardio, strength training and guided meditation into a music-driven workout.

Founded in 2013, The Class currently operates studios in New York and Los Angeles. Through its digital studio, students around the world practice The Class, yoga and meditation via any connected device with no equipment required.

Guests of any Proper Hotel across San Francisco, Santa Monica, Downtown L.A. and Austin (with additional properties to come) will receive complimentary in-room access to The Class Digital Studio.

“Our partnership with The Class is one piece of the larger focus we’ve put into wellness across our hotels,” Brian De Lowe, cofounder/president, Proper Hospitality, told Hotel Business. “The health and well-being of our guests is a top priority and key differentiator. Across our properties, you’ll find a range of experiences including our exclusive, destination spas Surya Spa at Santa Monica Proper Hotel and Verbena Spa at Austin Proper Hotel; 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness centers with the best in strength training, weight training, and cardio equipment; and complimentary weekend yoga and HIIT classes.”

He added, “While there are guests who will always gravitate toward our spas or fitness centers, there is also the guest who prefers to have an experience in private—or perhaps is limited on time—but is still interested in getting a workout in or finding a moment of relaxation. This exclusive, in-room offering of The Class provides just that.”

Natalie Kuhn, co-CEO, The Class, said, “As brands, we share a deep love of creating unique and inspiring experiences that break with tradition. Our companies are rooted in the same commitment to making wellness not something you do, but something you live.”

Between visits to Proper Hotels, guests can take advantage of The Class’ full suite of offerings, including live stream and on-demand Classes, themed Class collections and music collaborations, as well as yoga and meditation practices, with a complimentary 14-day trial to the platform.
