Perkins Eastman names new leader

Global architecture and design firm Perkins Eastman revealed that Noel Bryan has joined the firm as principal and director of business operations. With close to 30 years of professional experience in architecture, operations management and business development, Bryan leverages a keen sense of business insight, a forward-thinking and results-driven approach to work and an empathetic outlook.

Based in the firm’s Chicago studio, Bryan will oversee all operational logistics for Perkins Eastman. He will work with the executive committee to evaluate business procedures, enact policies to streamline workflow and ensure that each studio is reaching the goals determined by leadership—responsibilities which complement the skills he has procured over his expansive professional career.

After earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah, Bryan worked at a variety of design firms in Chicago, Minneapolis, Tucson, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. He held leadership positions at several nationally-recognized architecture and engineering firms and business consulting firms across the country, where he served on the respective operating committees and oversaw all aspects on the business end, including finance, legal, operations, information technology and human resources. Collaborative to the core, Bryan is known for his ability to balance the designers’ needs and goals with the everyday logistics of managing a business, according to the company.

“With his rich knowledge of operational efficiency, proven leadership capabilities, and clear-cut skills in business management, Noel is a real asset,” said Shawn Basler, AIA, co-CEO/executive director, Perkins Eastman. “His expertise will be instrumental as Perkins Eastman continues to expand and evolve, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him on the team.”

Bryan is equally enthused, “Working at Perkins Eastman is a great opportunity, and it’s an honor to join such a talented and passionate group of architects, designers and leaders. I’m eager to dive in and start collaborating as we continue to enhance the brand and efficacy of the firm.”

Bryan is a registered architect in Arizona and Illinois, an active member of the American Institute of Architects, and a certified architect with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
