Ten Five Hospitality has appointed Paula Anne Chavarria as director of acquisitions. She will lead the sourcing and execution of hotel acquisition and management opportunities as the company scales its portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels across the U.S. She will lead acquisitions across both owned and managed assets, focusing on properties that align with the company’s design-led, operator-driven approach.
Chavarria joins Ten Five from Realberry, a real estate developer and investor, where she led hospitality investments and executed luxury hotel acquisitions and development projects across the country. Her experience spans sourcing, underwriting, capital raising and managing transactions through due diligence and closing. At Realberry, she worked across a portfolio that included the redevelopment of the historic Cal Neva Resort & Casino, now the Lake Tahoe Proper Resort & Casino, as well as Thompson Denver, Santa Monica Proper Hotel and Austin Proper Hotel. Across her career, she has participated in more than $700 million in closed transactions with an additional $800 million in active pipeline projects.
“Ten Five was conceived as a vertically integrated hospitality platform—luxury lifestyle hotels and world-class restaurant and nightlife concepts, each designed to stand on its own, with food and beverage as our point of differentiation,” said Dan Daley, founder/managing partner, Ten Five Hospitality. “Paula joins us to lead acquisitions for our hotel platform, and her background gives us exactly what we need to scale that side of the business—deep luxury hotel transaction experience, strong institutional relationships and a sharp eye for the kind of assets we want in the portfolio.”
Chavarria said, “I’m incredibly excited to join Ten Five Hospitality at such a dynamic moment for the company. Ten Five has built a truly differentiated portfolio with an exceptional reputation across hospitality, food and beverage and lifestyle-driven experiences. I look forward to contributing to the team’s continued growth and helping identify opportunities that reflect the caliber, creativity and long-term vision the company is known for.”
