Utah Best Western Plus Adopts HIS’ BeyondTV GuestCast
Hotel Internet Services (HIS) has successfully enhanced the guestroom entertainment abilities of Best Western Plus Cotton Tree Inn in Sandy, UT, with the implementation of BeyondTV GuestCast. Located just 20 miles south of Salt Lake City, the property’s recent renovations to ensure high satisfaction rates are now bolstered by the ability for guests to instantly convert guestroom televisions into their own highly personalized entertainment portals using the latest in secure content casting technology.

With increasing numbers of guests asking staff if content casting was an available guestroom feature, hotel leadership recognized that adopting such technology was vital to remaining competitive and staying ahead of market trends. It can be used with personal computers, iOS or Android-based devices. Marshall Hotels & Resorts Launches 40th Anniversary Celebration
Marshall Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel management and services company operating properties nationwide, has begun a year-long celebration to commemorate its 40th anniversary. During those four decades, the company has successfully managed through multiple industry economic cycles, pivoting to meet the constantly changing demands of both seen and unseen events.

“When my father, Chuck, founded the company back in 1980, it started as a limited partnership with just three hotels along the south Atlantic seaboard,” said Mike Marshall, president/CEO, Marshall Hotels & Resorts. “Since that time, we have grown to 73 current signed management agreements between operating and pre-opening hotels nationwide with above competitive set results in virtually all segments, though our sweet spot remains well-branded, three- to four-star hotels and resorts in urban, suburban and drive-to markets. We have worked with virtually all the leading franchise companies, as well as quite a few smaller brands that have thrived in their given locations. None of this would have been possible, I would add, without the assistance of the accomplished associates who have worked with us over the years. As we get ready to close the chapter on 2020, we look forward to at least another 40 years helping owners improve bottom line results and increase profitability while creating job growth opportunities for more than 100,000 associates.”

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa Turns to Beekeeper
When one of the largest employers in Riverside County, CA, voluntarily closed its doors in March due to the pandemic, management knew it would be difficult to communicate with its 1,850 employees. Immediately, the Native American-owned Morongo Casino Resort & Spa near Palm Springs reached out to Beekeeper to help them connect digitally with all employees across multiple departments and shifts, most of whom don’t have a company email address. To date, 92% of Morongo’s employees who have downloaded the Beekeeper mobile app use it consistently, and activation rates are growing daily.

Hospitality workers are wearing multiple hats in today’s new normal and they are being required to learn new ways to perform tasks that were once routine. Beekeeper digitalizes today’s workforces so hoteliers, restaurateurs and casino operators can get the right operating procedures to the right workers at the right time to guarantee the right result while simultaneously freeing up time for supervisors who can then spend more time elevating the guest experience.
