INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Whether it’s celebrating an anniversary, receiving an award, earning a certification, debuting a new product or expanding the business, hotel companies and vendors achieve new milestones on a daily basis. Here’s a look at recent accomplishments:
Kansas City Hotel Partners with Velociti for Tech Upgrade
Hotel Phillips of Kansas City has selected Velociti Inc., a Kansas City, MO-based global technology services firm, to bring the restored property into the 21st century. Hotel Phillips recently unveiled a $20-million renovation, and as part of that, the hotel plans to continue the transformation with a focus on technology.
Velociti will deploy a number of upgrades and wireless technology solutions, which promise to better serve guests throughout the hotel’s 216 rooms and 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.
eRevMax Provides Connectivity for Ghana Property
The Royal Senchi Hotel and Resort in Ghana has recommended eRevMax distribution solutions for improving online sales. The property has been using RateTiger channel manager, powered by LiveOS, for online distribution and improving booking revenue.
RateTiger’s pooled inventory model allows the property to continuously distribute its live rates and inventory to multiple booking channels and deliver reservations back into its property management system (PMS) in real time, without worrying about overbooking. The LiveOS powered booking trends and business analytics data provides key market insights for the hotel to make informed decisions. The revenue management team is also using RateTiger’s price intelligence tool, Shopper, to monitor competitor rate movement and identify discrepancies to achieve rate and sales position for price optimization and accurate forecasting.
ECA by Dekko Launches Power and Charging Solution for Lockers
Power and data supply leader ECA by Dekko has launched Sto-Way, a power and charging solution for lockers including new and already installed lockers in a range of environments.
Lockers that already have power typically have adopted a multi-circuit system. Sto-Way is different: It’s designed to meet the specific needs of lockers with its ability to route electric cables either internal or external to the storage space, coupled with in-field maintenance that doesn’t require any disassembly of the locker.
Compatible with ECA’s daisy chain system, Sto-Way is capable of powering one or two circuits from a single power infeed, which allows for runs twice as long as a single-circuit system—this lets designers maximize locker-run lengths while reducing the supporting infrastructure. So, multiple units can link together, locker-to-locker, from a single infeed.
