NATIONAL REPORT—Several brands opened properties across the U.S. recently. Here’s a look at a few:
The Summit, A Dolce Hotel by Wyndham
Dolce Hotels and Resorts by Wyndham has opened The Summit, A Dolce Hotel by Wyndham, in Cincinnati’s Madisonville neighborhood. The 239-room hotel resides on the former site of the NuTone door chime factory and Medpace’s iconic rainbow parking garage—a quirky, local landmark preserved in elements of the hotel.
Designed by hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, The Summit, A Dolce Hotel by Wyndham, is an artful experience with a strong emphasis on group conferences and collaborative spaces, according to the brand. The hotel’s design weaves the building’s industrial history with modern, art-centric features. The lobby’s 20-ft. ceilings showcase the building’s original, exposed sandblasted columns. Guests can enjoy modern, flexible seating surrounded by art, including a metal screen reception desk with display case for industrial factory parts and a massive modern abstract mural along the wall. In a nod to the former rainbow parking garage, the hotel’s atrium is wrapped in a band of rainbow panels.
Dining options include The Overlook Kitchen + Bar, Brew & Barrel and The Market. The hotel has 32,600 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space including the modern Madisonville Ballroom and 17 meeting rooms with high-tech amenities and natural light.
Trio of DoubleTree Hotels
DoubleTree by Hilton continues to grow its portfolio with the opening of three properties in Helena, MT; Phoenix and St. Paul, MN. DoubleTree by Hilton Helena Downtown is located along the historic walking mall, close to Mount Helena and Mount Ascension. Additionally, the hotel is centrally situated between the famous Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park. The hotel offers a heated indoor pool and hot tub, as well as Bella Roma, which serves Italian cuisine.
DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix North is a 284-room hotel situated in the northern corridor of Phoenix. On-site amenities include a fireplace in the courtyard, an outdoor pool and Brixton Pub and Restaurant.
DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul East is a newly renovated, 195-room full-service hotel. As a four-season recreation destination, outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy kayaking the waterfronts, playing golf on championship courses and biking. In the winter, guests can enjoy nearby ice fishing and skiing or sledding at Afton Alps. On-site amenities include McKnight’s Kitchen and Tap and a heated indoor pool and whirlpool.
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ocean City, MD
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ocean City, MD, has opened. Located within walking distance to Maryland’s Ocean City Beach, the new hotel features the brand’s latest design.
The hotel offers 74 guestrooms and suites. Each room has the custom-designed White Water Collection of bath amenities by Beekman 1802. Throughout their stay, guests can treat themselves to complimentary freshly baked cookies, as well as coffee and tea. Guests have access to an on-site fitness center, indoor pool, free WiFi, a 24-hour gift shop and the brand’s signature and complimentary, hot breakfast served daily on classic dining ware.
GreenTree Inn Pinetop, Arizona
GreenTree Hospitality Group Inc. has opened its ninth GreenTree Inn U.S. location, and seventh branded property in Arizona. Formerly the Holiday Inn Expree Pinetop, the 73-room property offers free high-speed WiFi, a daily hot breakfast buffet, a lobby with a business center and more. The property features an indoor pool, spa and sauna and a well-equipped fitness center. In-room, guests can enjoy large, family and business-friendly rooms with a focus on sustainable practices, including eco-friendly Keurig coffee pods, soap dispensers and LED lighting, standard with a microwave and mini-refrigerator.
