Now Open: A First for Staypineapple; Four for Marriott; More…

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business has been tracking hotel openings across the U.S., including the first East Coast property for Staypineapple and a variety of Marriott openings.

The Alise Boston

The Alise Boston, formerly The Chandler Inn, recently opened as the ninth property for Staypineapple, its first on the East Coast.

The 56-room hotel is currently receiving the signature Staypineapple look. The brand’s The Naked Experience provides guests with European-style bedding including two separate duvets. Queen and twin mattresses have been replaced with the brand’s king-size mattresses and new flooring has been installed.

Custom platform bed frames, headboards and dressers will be installed in June. Staypineapple will also add wall sconces, a new chandelier and custom pineapple wallcovering. Within the year, Staypineapple also plans to remodel the lobby. Overall renovations will be completed by the end of 2018.

Courtyard by Marriott San Diego El Cajon

The 120-room hotel Courtyard by Marriott San Diego El Cajon opened recently. Owned by El Cajon Hotel LP, the hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise and is managed by Excel Hotel Group of San Diego.

The four-story hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, fitness center, two outdoor patios with fireplaces and guest laundry, and offers more than 5,000 sq. ft. of indoor meeting space, as well as 2,500 sq. ft. of outdoor meeting space, to accommodate functions from 10 to 600 people.

Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Kennesaw

Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Kennesaw is set to open its doors next week.

The 100-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Kennesaw Hotel Group and managed by Peachtree Hotel Group of Atlanta. The brand’s Refreshing Business lobby environment will be offered.

Amenities will include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor patio with a fire pit, fitness center and guest laundry, and offers 1,696 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 60 people.

Residence Inn by Marriott Boulder Canyon Boulevard

The 155-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Boulder Canyon Boulevard in Colorado has opened. The hotel operates as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Stonebridge Companies of Denver.

There is a business library where guests can fax, copy and print materials, as well as an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool spa, exercise room and more than 1,000 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 80 people.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Dublin

The 75-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Dublin in Georgia recently opened, and operates as a Marriott franchise, owned by AJR Hospitality LLC and managed by Hotel Equities of Atlanta.

Additional amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, valet laundry service, complimentary WiFi, as well as fax and copy services. There’s also more than 814 sq. ft. of space to accommodate functions of up to 58 people.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington Rosslyn Key Bridge

Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington Rosslyn Key Bridge in Virginia recently opened with 168 suites.

Developed and owned by the B. F. Saul Real Estate Investment Trust and managed by the B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, the hotel offers a combination of studio, one- and two-bedroom accommodations, with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas.

The property includes an outdoor terrace with lounges, a distinctive fire wall, grills for cooking, lobby seating and fitness center. Also available is 2,200 sq. ft. of event space and a business center.
