NEWH brings leadership conference to Nashville

The Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH)’s biennial Leadership Conference will take place in Nashville from Feb. 15 – 17. Hosted at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, the event draws leaders in the hospitality industry from all over the world. Over the three-day conference, attendees will discuss strategy, share insights on emerging trends and get to know their peers in a lively, encouraging environment.

“NEWH’s Leadership Conference demonstrates the best our organization has to offer,” NEWH President Sandy Banks told Hotel Business. “Our incredible membership network of women in hospitality and our male allies allows us to invest in the future leadership of all areas of hospitality. NEWH’s upcoming conference combines engagement, education and networking while enjoying the sights and sounds of Music City. Through our membership events, we aim to open the doors of career advancement by catalyzing connections and increasing access to leaders in hospitality, ensuring our industry is the best it can be.”

Embodying NEWH’s mission to support the advancement of professionals in hospitality, the 2024 Leadership Conference’s schedule comprises panel discussions, breakout sessions and keynote speakers. In addition to exploring educational offerings, attendees can partake in social gatherings to foster connections and network with fellow professionals.

“We eagerly anticipate the camaraderie, connection and innovation that the Leadership Conference inspires,” said Shelia Lohmiller, CEO, NEWH. “This event brings our mission to life, establishing a space for current and future hospitality leaders to share their passion and knowledge—resulting in ideas that shape the future of our industry and push us to evolve alongside it.”

The first day of the conference will kick off with the inauguration of NEWH POWERtalk LIVE Sessions, a fast-paced meeting event that invites high-level hospitality professionals from architecture, design, procurement, hotel brands, project management, development and ownership. Keynote addresses from Scott Stratten, president, UnMarketing, and Clodagh, founder/CEO, Clodagh Design, will open the events on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The sessions held throughout the conference will focus on future business strategies, including impactful sessions and interactive events. These events explore a plethora of topics spanning design, development, and relationship building, including sessions focused on hotel renovations, product specification, sustainability, branding and networking.
