My Place Hotels of America opens first Tucson hotel

My Place Hotels of America has opened My Place Hotel-Tucson South, AZ in Tucson, AZ. The extended-stay property is a partnership between Opwest Development and Iridius Capital, and is managed by Guard Hospitality. This marks the My Place’s first property in Tucson and third in Arizona.

“We’re thrilled about this latest addition to the My Place portfolio, a milestone achieved through our vital partnership with Opwest Partners,” said Ryan Rivett, cofounder/CEO, My Place Hotels. “This successful collaboration highlights our ability to grow and our skill in establishing strategic relationships that contribute to that growth. We’re optimistic that this latest establishment will raise the bar for quality accommodations. We anticipate this new property will become a touchstone for high-quality lodging in the region.”

The property has 86 rooms across four floors, utilizing the standard Gen 2 My Place Prototype design. Each room has a full-sized refrigerator, a two-burner cooktop, a coffee maker and a microwave, in addition to a pillow-top mattress, microfiber bedding and free high-speed WiFi. The pet-friendly hotel also offers onsite laundry and a 24-hour grab-and-go store. In addition, the exterior facade has been tailored to align with the architectural style commonly found in Tucson.

Located within The Landing, a 65-acre mixed-use development project, and adjacent to the Tucson Spectrum outdoor mall, the property is close to Tucson Airport and Downtown Tucson.

“Entering the bustling Tucson market is not just another milestone—it’s a strategic move that aligns seamlessly with our broader expansion goals,” Rivett said. “Tucson’s strong growth trajectory makes it a compelling destination for business and leisure travelers. This new property amplifies our presence in Arizona and is a significant step in our continued efforts to open properties nationwide.”
