MXR Hospitality names Dawne Brado VP, development

MXR Hospitality has named Dawne Brado as its inaugural VP, development and Valerie Bolton as its inaugural EVP, HR.

In her new role, Brado will support construction funding management and processing across the MXR portfolio.

Prior to joining MXR Hospitality, Brado spent more than eight years on the construction lending side of commercial real estate, including helping manage a $200M+ construction loan portfolio. Before her banking career, she worked at a Dallas-based law firm, where she prepared loan documents for closings and drafted materials related to loan restructurings, workouts, and foreclosures.

“Dawne has great experience and accomplishments in construction loan administration for commercial real estate. She is a great team player who will develop the framework for our construction funding management and processing as we grow the MXR platform,” said Brent McDowell, CEO, and Eric Watts, president, MXR Hospitality said in a statement.

Brado added, “This is an exciting hospitality platform that includes new development along with third-party property management, as RREAF Holdings joins forces with the McNeill team. I’m proud to be selected for this new responsibility and welcome the challenge.”

As a member of MXR Hospitality’s leadership team, Bolton will lead complex multi-disciplinary projects, while designing and implementing strategic and tactical HR competencies to align the business with the needs of MXR’s associates.

Prior to joining MXR Hospitality, she served as EVP, HR at McNeill Hotel Company, where she implemented the structure for a strong organizational culture and helped cultivate high-performing teams. Bolton has also worked for Bowlmor-AMF as a director, talent acquisition, and Pillar Hotel Resorts where she was one of two recruiters responsible for finding talent among 200 hotels.

“Valerie has remarkable abilities in being able to convert business vision into HR initiatives that encourage commitment and performance from hospitality teams, as well as profitability and growth for property management companies and investors,” said McDowell and Watts.

Bolton added, “I look forward to working at MXR Hospitality with impressive leaders from RREAF Holdings and McNeill who appreciate the role of HR in driving organizational excellence, including team member performance, development and retention.”
