Momentum Textiles Names CEO

Momentum Textiles and Wallcovering has appointed David M. Krakoff as the company’s new CEO. Krakoff takes over from Roger Arciniega who revealed his retirement in November after a 33-year career at Momentum.

Krakoff has had a diverse, international career spanning more than 30 years as a senior executive with leading, global companies in the building materials, decorative products and technology sectors. These include companies with strong worldwide brand names such as Electrolux (Stockholm), Frigidaire, Kaiser Aluminum, and Southwire Company (U.S.) and TOTO Ltd. (Kokura, Japan), a manufacturer of plumbing fixtures, where he served as president, Americas.

Krakoff is a specialist in creating strong corporate cultures and high-performance teams. He is a multilingual, multicultural executive and has worked in most of the world’s major and emerging markets. Krakoff has had a consistent track record of leadership success through a combination of industry-leading organic growth, mergers and acquisitions and award-winning new product development, highlighted by a commitment to sustainability and good corporate citizenship.

“Taking the helm at a company with Momentum’s history of achievement and leadership is a great opportunity and an exciting challenge,” Krakoff said. “I am eager to lead Momentum on an ambitious, growth-focused course and continue the tradition set by the previous CEO’s, John Wilkinson and Roger Arciniega.”

When revealing his retirement, outgoing CEO Roger Arciniega said, “It has been the opportunity of a lifetime to be part of the Momentum team. We have accomplished so much together, and I am confident David will continue our incredible track record of success.”

Krakoff is a native of Toledo, OH and received bachelors and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University. He resides in both the Atlanta and San Antonio areas and will be relocating to southern California soon.
